The carbon monoxide detector allows you to still use plugs above the wall outlet, as long as it’s plugged into the bottom outlet. In the event of an incident of carbon monoxide gas, the Kidde alarm will sound an 85-decibel alarm with 4 loud beeps, plus a red LED light will illuminate. The Kidde CO detector also features a Replacement Alert, which chirps 2 times every 30 seconds to indicate that it’s time to replace the detector.
