The clock can be plugged into a network or used on its own, without a network. With a network, the data is collected in real time by the TimePilot software; when the clock is used on its own, data is collected with the included USB drive and downloaded from the drive to the PC running the TimePilot software. The software then can generate a variety of reports and prepare the data for use by the leading payroll services and software like QuickBooks and ADP. Employees can clock in by tapping their iButton to the clock or entering a four-digit code. Ten iButtons are included in the package, though when you want to add more employees the clock can handle up to 500. Just add iButtons (Grainger part No. 36FN06). Includes rounding, overtime, holiday pay, multiple shifts, multiple departments, reports by group or employee.
